About Us - Cornwall Fit ‘N’ Fun Kids is a child care and activities company set up by Rachel Jones in April 2001. Being a mother of two children and having a background in childrens physical activities, she was very passionate in bringing this provision to the children of Cornwall.
The company was initially started by providing mobile physical activity classes for children aged from six weeks to seven years of age, together with their parents/carers. Classes are set up in local halls and consist of soft play and climbing equipment, physical development resources with a vibrant Instructor who takes the children through music and movement, interactive stories, parachute play and physical development skills. After delivering this service for approximately six months, an experienced Physical Activity Instructor joined the company which enabled Rachel to begin developing the services Fit 'N' Fun Kids could offer – development of classes throughout Cornwall, provision of Support Creches for training events and consultation days and Childrens Entertainment for the private, corporate and charitable organisations and provision of a high quality Day Care Nursery and Out of School Care Club in Falmouth.
Physical Development Classes are provided both as private sessions together with Kit Bag Sessions at Pre-School Day Care Settings and Children Centres.
Support Creches are again a mobile service and are used for consultation days, training events and weddings.
Childrens entertainment is very popular with a choice of many party packages for private birthdays, corporate and charitable events. Entertainment packages provide stress free and fun entertainment for children of all ages and can include bouncy castles, face painting, puppet shows, magic shows, parachute play, interactive stories, arts and crafts and many party games!
September 2002 the first Fit 'N' Fun Kids Day Nursery was opened, providing day care for children aged 3 months to 11 years of age including out of school care clubs, pre-school education, and wraparound care. Our Falmouth Nursery and Out of School Care Club is unique in the fact that we have within the setting a large indoor soft play room, a sensory garden and two outdoor play areas, together with six day care rooms. We also provide transportation to and from home and school. The setting's latest Ofsted Report (2007) was excellent!
In January 2003, it was decided to franchise our concept and with the assistance of Business Link and a Franchise Consultant, we opened our first franchise in Surrey in January 2004 and became a Member of the British Franchise Association in June 2004. In 2006, a second Franchise was opened in Coventry, with plans to open other Franchises throughout the Country.
