Weekly challenges and activities

Week one:

Pre-school and explorers:

  • Can you make an Easter craft this week?
  • How many times can you try putting your socks on by yourself?
  • Can you share your favourite story with someone at home and talk about why you like it?
  • Can you talk about how you are feeling each day? Why do you feel this way?

Littles:

  • Can you make an Easter craft this week?
  • Can you practice running, hopping, jumping and skipping?
  • Can you explore the sounds different objects make e.g. tapping saucepans with spoons?
  • Can you make different expressions in the mirror and talk about these?

Inspiration:

  • Can you make an Easter craft this week?
  • Can you practice naming different animals and making the noises they make?
  • Can you sing and clap along to a range of nursery rhymes – Old McDonald, 5 Little Ducks, Humpty Dumpty and Little Peter Rabbit?
  • Share some stories together

Babies:

  • Play peak – a - boo together
  • Model different facial expression to see if your child can copy them back to you
  • ‘Round and round the garden’ rhyme - does this make your child giggle / laugh?
  • Experimenting with shaking instruments / rattles – if you do this quickly, slowly, from side to side do they try and copy?
